Detailed Description:
NotesPeek was written for technical Notes users who want to see a more raw view of their Notes databases than the Notes client provides. NotesPeek presents the information in Notes databases as it is available through the Notes API.

This is NotesPeek for R5. NotesPeek for R4 is available here.

NotesPeek presents the information in Notes databases as it is available through the Notes API. NotesPeek is based on a containment hierarchy: Notes servers have databases, databases have documents, documents have items, etc. For the most part, this containment hierarchy is that presented by the API. Selecting a line in the tree view on the left will display information about that line in the text view on the right. NotesPeek displays almost all of the data available through the Notes API. Where data cannot be interpreted because its format is not documented, it is displayed as a hex dump.

New in NotesPeek 1.52:
  • NotesPeek for R5 is current with the Notes 5.02 SDK. Two new note open flags are supported to see the internals of MIME storage in notes. Use View - Options and the Open pane to set these flags if you want to look at MIME content.
  • A new command, View - Refresh allows you to re-read the contents of a note without closing and opening the note.
  • The Item Def Table node now properly displays over-sized item definition tables (created by enabling "Allow more fields" in the database).
  • NotesPeek 1.51 for R5 added support for frameset CD records.

The highlights of NotesPeek 1.5 included:
  • You can search the contents of a Notes database. Try the Edit - Find menu item.
  • You can now extract files attached to notes. Try the Data - Extract File menu item.
  • Within the info pane:
  1. You can select text and copy it to the clipboard.
  2. Colors are displayed with little swatches.
  3. Keyboard navigation is supported in the info pane.
  • The Notes client, the notes.ini can be specified on the command line with an equals sign.
  • @Response computes correctly in document titles.

Instructions:
Unpack the zip file into your Notes executable directory, and execute ntspk32.exe
