User Review of Notes.net Registration Template
Submitted by Lee Kelsey on 01/15/2001.
Rating: 4 stars
If you're stuck with the Notes.Net user registration template, I hope this helps you!
The note that Ron Bigham wrote on 11/12/99 was invaluable for me. This is in two places: In the RegisterNewUser Object of the Regie1 agent (halfway in the text), and in the ValidateUser object of the Common Routines Script Library.

Set view = dbNab.GetView("($FullName)")

should be changed to:

Set view = dbNab.GetView("($Users)")

Also, I manually entered the name of the group for self-registrants to be placed into, (into the NAB). Perhaps this wasn't necessary, but it was done prior to actually debugging the actual problem.

These notes are regarding installtion of the version released in Dec. 2000. The earlier template had its own quirks.

Maybe if Lotus just came out and designed the board around an open source project, the sand box might improve. My $.02 worth anyway. I wouldn't bother to write reviews of this stuff, its buggy as hell.

Good Luck!
