User Review of Notes.net Registration Template
Submitted by Jan M. Wouters on 09/28/2000.
The password submitted by the user is stored in an unencrypted field. A better way to handle this situation is to not store the password. When someone forgets their password create a new one on the fly that they can then use to enter and change their password to something they want.
We also think that names.nsf should be configurable so that you can use a different address book. Also it would have been nice of the different forms used included subforms for the actual information collected so that they can be easily changed. The system as released is really geared to Notes.Net.
Finally, the readme file didn't really explain how to use the system (just how to set it up) thus we had to figure out how to get the forms to come up correctly.
