I found it necessary to remove the <P> tag from the following code in the jsView.js page to get it to properly check for no documents in the view (this was for an application on an ND6 server):
if ( resulting.toUpperCase().split('<P><H2>NO DOCUMENTS FOUND</H2>')[0] == '' )
{
actualResult = '<table width="100%"><tr><td class="oddline"><b>Data Not Found</b></td></tr></table>';
return (actualResult);
}
