User Review of NotesPeek 1.52 for R5
Submitted by Dale Flannery on 06/02/2004.
Comment
Actually there is an R6 version of NotesPeek in the works (or there was at one stage)!
The following line (obviously a copy/paste mistake by the developer) can be found near the top of the readme.txt file for the R6 dsktool.exe desktop icons remediation utility:
This is the most current beta of NotesPeek for viewing Notes/Domino 6 Databases. It is Version 1.53 Beta, edit 898.
Look for yourself in the self extracting zip archive at:
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/lotus/tools/Domino/6.x/DSKTOOL6.EXE
As I mentioned, this a copy paste mistake by an IBM developer. But the line of text in the DSKTOOL utility does indicate that there is (or was) an R6 notespeek!
*** Late Breaking News ***
As of the 13/10/2004 IBM has bowed to pressure (since this 'leak') and you can find the R6 notespeek (still at 1.53 beta) at the following location in the sandbox.
