First time in here in over a year. I retired in 2017 from my job as 'the Notes guy' and still do occasional remote support for the apps I designed. Our company has had a long term (like 15 years-ish) plan to obsolete Notes and are finally starting to actually move in that direction. My guess is the process will take 5 years or more given the cost and complexity of the new systems. I should be making a few bucks off Notes until then.
FWIW, my user community totally supported the Notes platform and are dreading the switch to <new>. I think it's mostly because I was highly responsive to their change requests and not part of the IT organization (I worked for Quality). Requests for changes generally took a couple of days including all the validation and paperwork. When systems go to IT, a change request isn't processed quickly (or at all).
