Before deleting the user you'll want to ensure that all the required agents are signed by a different user.
You can typically use the catalog to see what databases that user has rights to, to start searching for databases and agents that need to be re-signed.
It's probably best to have a separate ID that is give authority to run agents, then use that ID to sign databases when put into production, just so that things like this don't come up at the last minute.
