Detaching and Installing the Guided Tour

Back to Main Menu

You can detach this interactive self-paced tour that demonstrates the calendaring and scheduling functions available in Notes 4.5.

The tour is organized into four modules: Getting Acquainted with the Calendar, Managing Your Personal Calendar, Using Your To Do List, and Scheduling Group Meetings. The first module is available in this Web version of the tour.

If you enjoy the first module of the guided tour, the complete "Using Calendaring and Scheduling: A Guided Tour" is available for $14.95 on CD-ROM. To order your copy, call 1-800-346-6409.

What type of computer you need
You need an IBM-compatible computer with a 486 or Pentium processor, and a 256-color VGA monitor set to a screen resolution of 640 x 480. The Guided Tour will not run properly in any other screen resolution. You also need 9MB of hard drive disk space.

What is contained in the detachable file
The file that you will detach, CSTOUR.ZIP, contains the guided tour setup files in PKZIP format. You must have PKZIP installed on your computer to decompress the files and setup the guided tour.

How to install the guided tour

1. In Windows Explorer or File Manager, create a directory named C:\TOURCAL for the downloadable file. You must use this directory name for the tour to install properly.

2. Detach the file CSTOUR.ZIP cstour.ZIP.

3. Unzip CSTOUR.ZIP into the TOURCAL directory.

4. In Windows Explorer or File Manager, navigate to the TOURCAL directory.

5. Double-click on Setup.exe.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions. Specify an installation directory of your choice. The Setup program will create the directory for you if it does not exist.

1. Doubleclick Faq_lab.exe.
2. Select Save File... to save to local or network directory.
