![]() | ![]() Creating a Web Application Using Domino 4.6 Back to Main Menu This on-line tutorial is designed for Web application developers who would like to work in a Domino Designer environment. You will need a beginning knowledge of Web development concepts. You will not need existing knowledge of Lotus Notes. This tutorial is designed to remain on your screen, in its own window, while you perform the steps. Move it, resize it, minimize it, even print any of the pages if you like. It is in a familiar help format. Click on text highlighted in green for pop-up explanations. Developing this application will take approximately 2 hours to complete. You may quit at any point and resume at another time. To do so, note the number of the section where you ended, then open that in the index when you are ready to resume. Requirements: 1. The Domino Designer client 4.6. 2. Netscape Navigator OR Microsoft Internet Explorer. 3. The proxy localhost must be added in your browser. 4. Within Notes, a default Web browser must be specified. To do so: From the Notes menu, select: File --> Mobile --> Edit Current Location. Choose Netscape or Internet Explorer from the dropdown list. Detaching the files for this tutorial: You will probably want to create a new folder for the files necessary for this tutorial. Note: The file that you will detach, FAQ.exe is a self-executable file containing the following files: FAQ.hlp ReadMe.txt FAQ logo.gif plus.bmp minus.bmp colorbar.gif FAQHome.bmp To detach the file from a browser: 1. Double click on the FAQ.exe icon. 2. Select Save File and save the file to the new folder. To detach the file from a Notes database: 1. Right click FAQ.exe. 2. Select Detach to save to your new folder. To install the tutorial: - In Windows Explorer, double click the file icon to unzip the files. To start the tutorial: - Double click the FAQ.hlp icon. |
