Back to Main Menu

Using this tutorial to build a Web site
You can detach this self-paced tutorial that walks you through creating a structured, multi-page web site using the Domino Fusion Connector (DF Connector) and NetObjects Fusion.
In about three hours, this tutorial will help you to:
  • Build a simple Web site in NetObjects Fusion.
  • Publish the site and all its files into a Notes database using Domino Fusion Connector 1.1.
  • Enhance the site using the Notes Domino Designer 4.6 features.
The tutorial is delivered to you in its own window, right on your desktop. The tutorial is in
    the familiar Windows Help format.

    Software requirements
To run the tutorial, you will need:
  • NetObjects Fusion Version 3.0
  • Domino Release 4.6 or higher
  • Domino Fusion Connector (DF Connector) 1.1
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 3.02 (or higher) or Netscape Navigator Version 3.02 or higher

Detaching and installing the tutorial files
The file that you will detach, DFC_tutor.exe, is a self-executable file containing the three files needed to run the tutorial. They are:
  • DFCtutor.cnt - The Table of Contents for the tutorial
  • DFCtutor.hlp - The Help file
  • Readme.txt - Instructions for setting up and getting started

To detach the file from a browser:
    1. Double-click DFC_tutor.exe.
    2. Select Save File... to save to a local directory.

To detach the file from a Notes database:
    1. Right-click DFC_tutor.exe.
    2. Select Detach to save to a local directory.

    To install the tutorial:
    1. In Windows Explorer, double-click the file icon. This unzips the files in the current directory.
    2. Start the tutorial by double-clicking the DFCtutor.hlp icon.
