Is LEI an add-in task to the Domino server? (It can optionally be set up to run on its own, but it is most frequently used as a Domino add-in task). If so, then you can use the normal Domino monitoring tools to monitor LEI. If LEI crashes or hangs or causes performance issues, then Domino will crash, hang, or have a performance issue.
