"Error Creating Product Object" always means that it cannot find the connector files ("product object") at all. Either it can't "see" it (such as when you have a 32/64 bitness disparity), or the connector is not installed on the same machine as the agent or application making the call.
It sounds to me like this might be the latter. Did you perhaps install the Lotus Connector for SAP on the server, but then are running your agent on the client? (Remember that launching an agent from an action menu selection or button will always launch it on the client.)
