If LEI is installed on Domino, then there are no restrictions on the version of the Client you can use to connect and configure your activities. LEI is tied to Domino, so this is just like using the Client to access and work in any other database; you're just doing so in the decsadm.nsf and leilog.nsf here.
Notes only comes in 32-bit anyway, and so as long as you're on a supported release of the Notes Client, you will be fine.
