Using the Extension Manager in the move mail file process (sidebar)
You can use an Extension Manager callout to notify users about the need to update their Personal Address Book with their new mail server. The Extension Manager callout runs on the administration server of the Domino Directory. The Administration Process then calls the Extension Manager prior to and after administration requests are processed. (For detailed information on enhancing the Administration Process with the Extension Manager, see the Domino 5 Administration Help.)

In the following sample script, an Extension Manager callout sends mail to the user advising that the Connection documents and Location documents must be updated with the names of the new mail server and new mail file. It also instructs the user to add the new mail server to the Access Control List of any local mail file replica that does not list the new mail server. After the "Replace mail file fields" request is processed, the Extension Manager callout composes the "Push changes to new mail server" administration request.
