More Tips from LDD

Chances are, the information you work with isn't in a single place. If you're using QuickPlace and have some of your information in a Notes/Domino database, there's an easy way to connect the two.

You can enhance the QuickPlace by adding links to your Notes documents, views, and databases. It's a quick and easy way to add value to your QuickPlace and leverage your existing Notes/Domino content.

To insert links to selected Notes documents, views, and databases into your QuickPlace:
  1. From within Notes, create a link to the selected document, view, or database by selecting Edit - Copy as Link, and then choosing the appropriate link type.
  2. Go to the Windows desktop
  3. Right-click to see the menu and choose Paste Shortcut to place a "shortcut" icon of the link on the desktop.
  4. Open your QuickPlace.
  5. Go to the page where you want to add the link and click Edit.
  6. Drag the shortcut icon from your desktop into the download area of the QuickPlace page.
  7. Click Publish.

The link will now be available to all users who browse this QuickPlace page—assuming, of course, you have granted them the appropriate access rights within Notes.
