Chances are, the information you work with isn't in a single place. If you're using QuickPlace and have some of your information in a Notes/Domino database, there's an easy way to connect the two.
You can enhance the QuickPlace by adding links to your Notes documents, views, and databases. It's a quick and easy way to add value to your QuickPlace and leverage your existing Notes/Domino content.
To insert links to selected Notes documents, views, and databases into your QuickPlace:
- From within Notes, create a link to the selected document, view, or database by selecting Edit - Copy as Link, and then choosing the appropriate link type.
- Go to the Windows desktop
- Right-click to see the menu and choose Paste Shortcut to place a "shortcut" icon of the link on the desktop.
- Open your QuickPlace.
- Go to the page where you want to add the link and click Edit.
- Drag the shortcut icon from your desktop into the download area of the QuickPlace page.
- Click Publish.
The link will now be available to all users who browse this QuickPlace page—assuming, of course, you have granted them the appropriate access rights within Notes. |
