Did you ever want your company logo as the mail header for all employee mail? Well, this tip will show you how to customize your letterhead. This is done simply by adding the desired logo to the image resources of your organizations' mail template.

First, you should select the graphic you want in your letterhead. The preferable image size is 88 pixels by 70 pixels, although the image can be as large as 90 pixels by 85 pixels. Ideally, your graphic's background should be transparent. While not absolutely required, a transparent background assures you aesthetic success. Frequently, the background color of the letterhead varies, and having a nontransparent graphic background splashed onto an arbitrary color background may not look very good.

Next, you must save your desired letterhead image in the Image Resource list of your mail database or template that is company-wide. To do this:
Once your image has been added to the letterhead options, you and all employees can select it for your mail by clicking Tools and choosing Preferences. You will find the logo letterhead added to the list of existing letterhead designs. Simply select your letterhead and save. That will add a professional touch to company e-mail!

A customized letterhead

Note: Only employees who have access to the mail template are able to see the letterhead. When e-mail is sent with the letterhead to Internet mail or outside companies, a generic letterhead will be placed on the e-mail.
