Wondering whether or not the email message you just received has a return receipt request? To find out, add the following line of code to the untitled attachment column (that is, the first column in the view) of your mail template Inbox folder ($Inbox):

ReturnReceipt="1");
Here's a sample of the code as it might appear in your existing formula for the untitled attachment column. Do not place the code at either the beginning or the end of the existing formula or it won't work properly.

After you've made this change, if you receive an email with a return receipt request, the envelope and lock icon shown below will appear in the attachment column of the Inbox view of you mail file. When you open the email message, the Notes client sends the return receipt and the icon disappears.

One more point of interest: The number 164 specifies the envelope and lock icon, but you can change the icon. Refer to the Domino Designer Help for a table of available column icons.
