Adding a priority icon to the Inbox

This tip allows you to manage your Inbox by adding a priority icon to messages so that you are reminded to return to them later.

In your mail database, add an action to the Inbox folder called "Add Priority Diamond." If you want, you can include it on the Tools menu by prefixing it with Tools\. To add this action for an organization, include it as a shared action in your organization's mail template.

Use this formula in the action to add a bright blue diamond to the message:

FIELD _ViewIcon:=_ViewIcon;
@SetField("_ViewIcon";100)

Here is the result:

Blue diamond icon in Inbox

You can also add another action to remove the priority diamond.

Note: This action doesn't change the icon of a high importance item (with an exclamation point) and it does change the mail to "unread."
